Radio One is celebrating the Black History Month by honoring native modern day historians.

"Pretty Brown Girl" A high ranking organization dedicated to empowering young women. Their aim is to educate colored girls and encourage self-acceptance by raising social, emotional and intellectual well-being.

Sherry Crali And in 2010, her husband, Kore, founded the firm after she wanted to encourage her daughters to be "beautiful brown girls". They saw the need to tell harmful messages about skin-tone and give positive color to colored girls.

The couple initially created a product line with the message "Pretty Brown Girl", which included a doll that made their daughters. Today, this organization extends beyond just one line. It gives young girls different programs, clubs, and events to love their skin.
